Dear Current and Future Turf Professional Leaders:
Thank you to those of you who have already applied for the 2014 PLAYERS.
Thus far, the response to this volunteer opportunity has been outstanding. We are looking for fill 30 more volunteer positions by March 15th, 2014. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please direct them to this website.
Stay tuned for more volunteer and tournament information as we enter 2014. For now, have a wonderful holiday season.
Preparations for the 2014 PLAYERS have begun, and once again, we are seeking volunteers to join our Tournament Support Team which is sponsored by John Deere Golf.
Over the years, the Tournament Support Team has proven to be an integral part of the success of THE PLAYERS.
Last year, the work of the Tournament Support Team was taken to an entirely new level. The 2013 Tournament Support Team made THE PLAYERS happen!
Please find the John Deere produced YouTube link that illustrates the value of this great annual team:
Our volunteer program offers a rewarding mix of professional development, networking, world-class golf—and the kind of excitement you can only have while being part of a great TEAM.
We are sure that you’ll find the experience rewarding, as so many other volunteers have over the years.
Because of John Deere Golf’s involvement and our desire to have a tournament setup practice day, we are asking for the Tournament Support Team to arrive on Saturday, 3rd prior to THE PLAYERS. We are scheduling informative events for the advance Sunday to THE PLAYERS. There will be more details to follow.
Our goal for THE 2014 PLAYERS is 80 volunteers. Because of past success, I am sure that the spots will fill up fast. If you are interested in being a part of this wonderful experience, please do not hesitate to apply.
As this time, please confirm your participation no later than March 14, 2014. We ask that all volunteers commit from Saturday, May 3rd, 2014; through the entire Championship ending Sunday, May 11th, 2014. Meals, housing, and transportation will be provided throughout the week. The program will kick off with a staff meeting at 4:30pm on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014.

3. Instead of sending informational/update emails to registrants, we are going to use the main website's "Updates" section to disseminate information. Once you have registered, please check the website regularly for updates.
4. As always, if you experience issues with registering or have general questions, please do not hesitate to email me. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are extremely excited that you are interested in dedicating your time to work with our team. We are sure that you will find the experience very rewarding.
If you know of any other colleagues that would be interested in this experience, please send this information to them. This is a great experience for turf clubs and interns!
I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
*NOTE: If you are flying to Jacksonville, we would encourage you to fly in a day earlier, May 2nd; and leave a day later, May 12th. This will give you much more flexibility in your travel schedule. We would also encourage any other volunteer to stay until May 12th, as we will give everyone a chance to hit a few balls at the island, #17, on Monday morning.
